International Women’s Day 2025 Spotlights

Celebrating Women: A Tribute to Strength, Resilience, Legacy and Becoming

On 8 March 2025, we join the world in celebrating International Women’s Day under the theme: “For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.” This year’s theme, championed by the United Nations, calls for action to unlock equal rights, power, and opportunities for all women and girls.

Women’s Stories Matter – Everyday Greatness

At African Queens’ Ink, we believe that stories shape movements. This platform is about stories, as reflected in the reviews published here every week. This year, I am dedicating this space to amplifying the voices of extraordinary women—women who lead, inspire, and break barriers in their own unique ways. The women I am spotlighting are women I know personally—friends, family, colleagues, and mentors who inspire me daily. I firmly believe that amazing women are everywhere in our daily lives—in our workplaces, our homes, our communities. These women might not always be widely recognised, but their impact is undeniable.

From 1 March to 8 March, I will be sharing daily highlights of these remarkable women—those who have shaped communities, navigated challenges with grace, and continue to leave a lasting impact. Their stories are more than just personal journeys; they are testaments to the strength, resilience, and empowerment that define womanhood.

Follow along as I highlight one incredible woman each day.
